Now, vacuums, although not recommended, can be used, with the only exception of using a vacuum without a beater bar. Vacuums with beater bars will only scratch your wood floors, and not clean them.
Deeper Cleaning Process

You can clean your wood floors with an occasional damp mop. You can always use rag mops, soak them in water and soap solutions, and simply clean your wood floors. Remember to always leave the mop damp, and not soaking wet. Never leave water on surface of wood floors, wipe up the excess because if left sitting there your wood floors can be affected.
